Sunday Morning Worship

This message begins a six-week series in Hosea leading up to the 50th celebration. On the surface, Hosea 1:1 looks like a "throat-clearing" verse, just names and dates before the real prophecy starts. But packed into this one verse are three threads worth pulling on: the astounding fact that God speaks, the surprising person He chooses to speak through, and the specific moment of crisis He speaks into. Though Hosea is largely a book of judgment against Israel's unfaithfulness, it is undergirded from the very first verse by something more powerful, the relentless, faithful love of God for His people.
