Welcome
If you are visiting our website, chances are you’re looking for something—hope, community, answers, or to know more about Jesus. Whatever brought you here, you’re welcome just as you are. At Covenant Church, you don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to dress a certain way, speak a certain “church language,” or have a perfect story. This is a place for real people, real questions, and real faith—growing together. We seek to be grounded in God and His Word, connected to Christ & His family for impact in our communities and the world through the Holy Spirit.
When you join us in person, you can expect a warm, relaxed environment, meaningful worship, and teaching grounded in the Bible and relevant to everyday life. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after some time away, or looking for a new church home, check out the website and our socials to see all about Covenant Church.
We’d love to help you take your next step—whether that’s attending a service, meeting someone from our team, or simply learning more at your own pace. However you choose to engage, know this: you’re always welcome at Covenant Church.
We hope to see you soon.

What To Expect
Parking
The main parking lot is located behind the church. This lot is, primarily, for those with mobility issues. The Buhl Club parking lot is available for parking. At the canopy entrance you will find our greeters if you need assistance. Additional lots are available across State Street at the funeral home and Tavola. The State Street entrance is located there. Also, parking is available at the library on Sharpsville Avenue. At that entrance, you will need to walk up one flight of stairs to reach the sanctuary or walk through the Fellowship Hall to reach the elevator. There are signs to direct you.
Worship
A typical service will last about 75 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team and choir. Some Sundays instrumentalists accompany the songs with an ensemble in addition to the pipe organ. Rev. Rick Stauffer is a Bible-centered pastor who’s caring, funny, and relevant; someone who anchors every message in Scripture but delivers it in a way that feels alive and close to home. He teaches the Bible clearly and faithfully, not skimming over hard truths, but explaining the Gospel with wisdom and grace. Most of all, Pastor Rick makes the message relevant connecting ancient truth to modern life, showing how the Bible speaks into real struggles, real relationships, and real decisions. People leave not just inspired, but understanding how to live out what they heard.
Kids
Covenant Church is family-friendly and we welcome the kids to stay in worship. The nursery is available for infants to age 2. There are activities at the back of the sanctuary. Kid's church is a great place for ages 3 through 2nd grade. They are dismissed from the worship service prior to the message and led to the kid's church room where they will learn about Jesus every week through stories, songs, scripture, games, and crafts. The kids return to worship to participate in singing the last song.
Coffee & Donuts
Plan to arrive a few minutes before the service to grab a coffee and mingle. On the last Sunday of each month there are also donuts!
Visitor Bags
When you visit the first time, please introduce yourself to any of our greeters. They will give you a little goodie bag.

FAQ
If you have any questions, contact the church office at 724-981-3535 or office@covenantsharon.org.
How do adults become members?
Three times each year, a class is offered for anyone interested in discovering more about Covenant Church. You will learn the fundamental beliefs of the EPC and Covenant Church, membership expectations, and an exploration of ministries and ways to engage. Classes are usually held during the 9am Sunday school hour and the nursery is available as are classes for kids and youth. After this four week class, there will be an opportunity to meet with elders. On the Sunday following that meeting, the class will stand for membership during the worship service.
How do youth become members?
Youth age 14 and up that have engaged in Covenant Church classes and youth activities are encouraged to attend the same class as the adults. As a church, we foster building relationships and this combined class is a great opportunity.
What type of music is played?
Our services blend contemporary and traditional music bringing together the richness of historic hymns and the freshness of modern praise. The music honors Covenant’s heritage while engaging worshipers in meaningful, present-day expressions of worship. In addition to the choir, several times a month instrumentalists also join the service.
Will Covenant Church help me grow spiritually?
There are many classes, groups, and ways to engage the community of believers at Covenant! We believe in lifelong learning and strive to offer meaningful strategies to continue growth.
