Sunday Morning Worship

Mar 15, 2026    Rev. Rick Stauffer

We’re reminded that the message of Jesus has always had the power to change lives—and sometimes even disrupt entire communities. In Acts of the Apostles 19:21–41, the ministry of Paul the Apostle in Ephesus becomes so influential that it threatens the business of a silversmith named Demetrius the silversmith, who made idols of the goddess Artemis. What follows is confusion, shouting, and even a riot in the city.

This passage reminds us of a powerful truth: when the gospel truly takes root, it challenges the idols people trust in and transforms the way they live.

We’ll explore what happens when the message of Christ confronts the things that compete for our devotion—and how God continues to move His mission forward even in the midst of chaos.
