From Foundations to Future: A Celebration of God's Faithfulness
There are always milestone moments that we want to celebrate together as God’s people. Like the Biblical followers of God, there is good reason to build memorials that remind us of God’s faithfulness. On October 17th and 18th at Covenant Church will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the sanctuary expansion of our building. In 1976 there was excitement in the air over what God was doing to build His kingdom in Sharon and beyond through the ministry of Covenant Church, and a tangible expression of that was a faith project to build a larger sanctuary.
Over the past 50 years there have been hundreds of people in and out of that space who have been nurtured and sent to share the Gospel as well as the many who have been faithful to stay in the valley and build His Kingdom here. We want to take a moment and celebrate that!
So on October 17th we will celebrate with a catered dinner and night of Praise and Prayer, then on Sunday, October 18th we will have a panel of missionaries sent from Covenant to share stories of their time here as well as what God has done in sending them during the Sunday School hour, a worship service that will replicate much of the original dedication service from 50 years ago, and a ministry fair that will help to show that there is still much that God has for us to accomplish!
Stay tuned for the announcement of featured speakers, more surprises, and a way to RSVP to the dinner on Saturday night. But for now, mark the dates of October 17th and 18th and plan on joining us to remember and celebrate the faithfulness of God!
