We are on week two of the new series, Walking in the love of God, in Hosea. Israel had become hard to love, wrapped up in generations of unfaithfulness, so God asked the prophet Hosea to live out a shocking picture of it, marrying an unfaithful woman and naming their children after judgment. Yet in the very next breath, God turns that same picture into a promise: those called "not my people" will be called children of the living God. It's a message about being loved not because we're easy to love, but because God has chosen to love us anyway.
